Brilliant Futures goes back to school
We are putting our own social marketing knowledge with our own 'Feel Good Futures' project - an insight-driven approach to increasing emotional wellbeing, aspirations and achievement of young people through the co-design of materials and associated activities to encourage and enable them to 'achieve happily'. The project blends positive psychology, employers' demand for characteristics needed in the workplace and evidence for 'what makes people happy in and outside of work' to create a toolbox of evidence, techniques and resources that can be used to encourage and enable young people to increase their aspirations, achievement and employability with maximum resilience and emotional wellbeing.
The project seeks to achieve this through the 'build your own Feel Good Future' toolbox for use at home and school targeted at young people in year 8 which has been identified as the year that disengagement with school can begin and pupils need additional support to raise aspirations, make life choices and build resilience. Feel Good Champions, representing groups of staff, students and parents will work with Brilliant Futures to co-design the toolbox and accompanying project, taking evidence based programmes and information including '5 ways to wellbeing' among others to meet the needs of young people and their parents.
