Introducing 'The Big Box of Happiness'
Read about our 'wellbeing project in a box' to help children and families build happiness habits to improve emotional and mental wellbeing and resilience.
We recently co-designed and piloted 'Happiness Heroes', a ready to run emotional and mental health and wellbeing project in a box!
Research shows increased emotional wellbeing and resilience improves attendance, behaviour, educational attainment (11% increase in SATS results) and life chances.
The Happiness Heroes programme has therefore been developed to provide a whole-school approach to emotional and mental wellbeing; introducing children (aged 3-11) and their families to 6 scientifically proven ‘happiness habits’ that can help to build resilience and boost wellbeing and learning outcomes across the school community..
Happiness Heroes has been co-designed and evaluated with schools, families and mental health professionals to provide something that delivers for everyone. It can be run in a range of formats, tailored to schools’ individual needs – as whole class / school activities, an in-school targeted intervention or as a universal after school or holiday club, with open invitations to all children. Boxes, facilitator manuals and full marketing and administrative materials and optional facilitator training or a delivered option are all available for use by schools, community groups and nurseries now!
