Reduce sunbed use in Dorset and Stoke on Trent

We worked with both the The Dorset Cancer Network and NHS Stoke on Trent and a range of partners to conduct end to end social marketing initiatives to change tanning behaviour amongst young sun bed users. This involved a thorough scoping exercise using a range of primary and secondary research methods to determine the local prevalence and fully understand the tanning behaviour of young people, as well as the messages and tactics of the competition. Based on the recommendations, projects were implemented in colleges that encouraged and incentivsed use of fake-tan and resulted in tangible shifts in behaviour and attitudes.
